When the mountain is the main goal

For an early start on a route, the most useful criterion is access to its starting point. Do not replace this check with a beautiful panoramic shot. The road to a resort town, to a lift and to a mountain hut are different routes.

When you want a holiday with views

For a more relaxed trip you can choose a village and explore the area during the day. Baldevo is an option for such a stay in the Western Rhodopes. Add Leshten for architecture and a panorama of Pirin, if conditions allow.

Separate the two types of day

One more active day and one free day often make a more pleasant programme than early starts every day. If you include Bansko, check the road and allow separate time for the town itself. Do not plan a high-mountain route as a short stop between the spa and dinner.

Bozhe Ime as an option

Look at the complex if you want your base to be in Baldevo and the comfort of the stay comes first — a large spa area and rooms with different access to it. For guests whose goal is skiing all day, being close to the chosen ski area may matter more.
